Eric Wilburn
Eric is currently a coach of the Stanford Triathlon Team where his primary role is to foster healthy mindsets and mentalities for training and competition. He has a dual Masters from Stanford where he focused on social ecology, specifically on the the interactions between mindsets, human behavior and well-being. He works with individual athletes and teams to tap into sustainable sources of motivation and drive based on teamwork, humility, gratitude and empathy. Eric guides athletes through specific training techniques and exercises to minimize the stress and anxiety of training and competition, strengthen the mind-body connection and amplify athletes supporting and genuinely connecting with other athletes to avoid burnout. The approach is designed to to give athletes a competitive psychological edge as well as ensure athletics support the mental and emotional well-being of athletes as much as it does the physical well-being.
